Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3), also known as baking soda, is an inorganic compound. It presents as a white powder or fine crystals, odorless with a slightly salty taste. The aqueous solution is slightly alkaline.
It decomposes easily upon heating, starting at 50°C and completing at 270°C, generating carbon dioxide. Due to its unique chemical properties, it holds a vital position across various industries including chemical engineering, food processing, medicine, and textiles.

Sodium Bicarbonate should be stored in a sealed container, protected from moisture and heat, in a cool and dry environment.
