📍 Product Description
EPS-FB Inert Spherical Pellets: Commonly known as 'floating bed white balls', these are polymerized by polystyrene (EPS) and foamed into large white opaque spherical pellets.
As opposed to regular up-to-down flows of fixed bed, floating-bed systems operate, regenerate and backwash in the direction of bottom-to-top. Small particle-sized resins compacted on the upper layer are easy to float up with the up-flowing water, potentially blocking water caps or strainers.
EPS-FB inert polymers are designed to be filled right under the top device and above the resin layers. With their large granularity and light density, they attach to the cap or strainer for complete protection. This prevents rapid drops in operating pressure and ensures uniform distribution of liquids.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What is the primary function of EPS-FB inert pellets?
EPS-FB pellets serve as a covering layer in floating-bed countercurrent regeneration systems. They protect water caps and strainers from being clogged by fine particle resin beads during up-flowing operations.
What are the physical characteristics of these pellets?
They are milky-white, opaque, spherical pellets made of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), featuring a uniform surface and a particle size typically between 1.50mm and 2.50mm.
What is the typical service life and warranty for EPS-FB?
The resin typically has a service life of 2-3 years, and we offer a 3-year after-sales warranty to ensure long-term performance stability.
Can EPS-FB handle high-temperature operations?
According to the technical data, it has a heat resistance of ≤60ºC for standard physical integrity, while certain operating conditions allow for maximum temperatures up to 230°C depending on the system configuration.
What packaging options are available for bulk orders?
We offer three main types of packaging: Bags-on-Pallet (25L per bag), Bulk Bag-on-Pallet, and Packet-in-Box-on-Pallet to accommodate different shipping and storage requirements.
Are these pellets resistant to chemicals?
Yes, EPS-FB possesses excellent physical and chemical stability, making it suitable for use in environments with a PH range of 0 to 14.
